DMA

The DMA – The Direct Marketing Association (UK) is the trade organisation for all companies in direct marketing in the UK. It exists to promote best practice, and to develop the sector as a whole. They produce the DMA Census - a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the industry.
 
The DMA and its members are committed to promoting the self-regulation within the direct marketing industry.  It is a condition of all membership that member companies of the DMA are required to adhere to the DM Code of Practice. The DM Code of Practice sets standards of ethical conduct and best practice and is administered and monitored by the independent Direct Marketing Authority. The Code has always and will continue to cover all forms of direct marketing.   

The requirements of new legislation, such as the Data Protection Act 1998 and Distance Selling Regulations 2000, are also fully reflected in the Code. In addition to the Code, a number of Best Practice Guidelines set standards that are desirable to achieve.

We have an obligation to uphold at all times the British Code of Advertising Practice.

Our acceptance of work is based upon the understanding that all clients’ accept the codes of conduct of the advertising industries for list and database management.
